Songs About Suicidal Thoughts

Suicide is a difficult topic to discuss, but singers and bands have created songs about suicide to help people cope with their emotions. These can be especially comforting for those who have been affected by someone close to them in death.

Three Days Grace’s anti-suicide song, “Never Too Late,” serves as a prime example. It emphasizes how essential it is to seek help if you’re feeling depressed or having suicidal thoughts.

What Happens to the People Who Can’t Stop Thinking About Suicide?

It can be challenging to know how best to respond when someone you care about is considering suicide. This is especially true if they have gone through a difficult period in their life.

One way you can help prevent suicide is by listening carefully. Many times, those considering suicide don’t intend to end their life; rather, they simply feel helpless and need relief from their situation.

If a loved one shares that they are considering suicide, it is always best to talk with them and show that you are there for them. This simple act can make all the difference.

You can help them by encouraging them to seek professional assistance. This could come in the form of medical attention, mental health therapy or a local support service.

They may be able to offer helpful coping strategies to help them manage their feelings and prevent thoughts of suicide. These could include avoiding people who are untrustworthy, taking medication as prescribed, and making a appointment with a therapist.

Over time, this can improve their wellbeing and lower their risk of suicide. It could also be beneficial to create a safety plan so they know how to respond if they experience suicidal thoughts.

If a loved one is considering suicide, it is imperative that they receive professional help immediately. In many cases, receiving treatment is the only way they can save their life.

Listening to songs about suicidal thoughts may offer comfort and hope, letting you know that others have had similar struggles.

Don Henley’s song “Damn It, Rose” tells the tale of a woman who commits suicide. His lyrics are both haunting and heartbreaking as he paints an emotional portrait of how this decision has affected her family members.

This poignant song expresses the grief and loss Rose’s family feels after her passing, while also emphasizing how her child will carry on her legacy throughout his or her lifetime.

Coming Down by Five Finger Death Punch

Five Finger Death Punch is one of the few metal bands to remain active for two decades. Their sound is heavy and aggressive, with lyrics as tough as nails that will leave you wondering how this band keeps winning when other majors are struggling. Their stage show leaves audiences amazed at how this veteran group continues to stay relevant while other majors are falling apart.

The band is back with their ninth album, Afterlife. While this isn’t a reinvention or reintroduction of their sound, there are some good songs on it; unfortunately, there are also some duds as well.

Start off with Judgment Day, a downtempo spoken vocal track featuring some hip hop elements. While not as heavy as some of their other songs, this one still manages to deliver some quality melodies.

Once the song ends, we are treated to another uptempo track featuring a driving guitar riff and more aggressive lyrics. This song really got me invested in Five Finger Death Punch; it is an expertly crafted tune that cemented my admiration for them as musicians and live performers alike.

Next is the title track, Coming Down which is another excellent song from this band. This tune has a lovely feel-good vibe and makes for an excellent sing along. There are other good tracks on the album as well, but I think this one stands out the most. The riffs are familiar from other songs but it also carries an encouraging message. All in all, this album was truly enjoyable to listen to – highly recommended!
